I first got the game The Division about a month ago. I'm not one to buy a game brand new unless I know I am going to really like it and I have played sequels to it previously, for example Halo games or Black Ops to name a few. When I first saw the commercials on T.V. I thought it looked really good, something I might get into.
A few weeks later I was on YouTube checking out game play trailers for games and I came across The Division so I decided to check it out. Instantly I was like "I have to get it". It wasn't what I had imagine and it looked like I could definitely get into it. Next day I began searching on Craigslist and Let Go to see if i can find one that someone was selling The Division at a reasonable price and I hit the jackpot. Someone was selling it for $15 bucks. It's funny but once i got the game it took me a few weeks because i wanted to finish Resident Evil Revelations 2 before I began to play it. Once I was done, I put that disk in and I was ready to Rock and Roll!
It took me a little bit to understand the layout and buttons because it can be overwhelming, all the different things you can do and setting up your gear and attributes. Once I figured all that out I fell in love. I felt like I could use all the training I acquired while in the military and use that to over power the enemy bad guys in the game. It might seem silly but it really works when you plan your strategy out rather then going in guns blazing, that does not work in this game. believe me I tried and several different times i might add. In my opinion I believe the story line goes perfect with the game. I could actually visualize the same scenario if that was to ever happen in real life. What I mean by that is the different groups that would organize together and each group having their own leader or a group of people coming together to steal and rob others of what they have. It's a scary if you think about it, to have to live like that. You never truly know what people would become like if that type of situation were to become reality. Anyways, what I enjoy about the game the most I think is that each mission you have to complete helps gather points in order to upgrade your main base in different departments for example in the main base in the game there are three departments: Tech, Security and Medical. Each consist of different types of mission like attacking the stronghold, repairing satellite up-links or researching and area for the Virus. There is just so much to do and so many different gear and weapons you can acquire from killing the bad guys. Of course the higher the your level the harder it gets, equipping the strongest gear and weapon you have is A MUST in order to survive. Your also able to equip weapon attachments to your weapons to make them stronger or better to use. Another thing I enjoy about the game is that even after you upgrade all the departments to 100 percent there is more missions you can do. Such as Search and Destroy missions which is high value targets that you must eliminate. But don't get it twisted they are NOT easy, strategy and patience is your best friend. That being said I am very happy I got this game and I will continue to play it and if if sounds like its something you can get into then just get it. I don't think you will be dissapointed.
