I was born under Generation Y, commonly called "The Millenials". There are a lot of qualities that are tied to a Millenial's behavior but I want to focus on what I consider a common trait amongst some of my peers. Millenial or not I was raised to not plant any roots anywhere until I found "The Place". Whether this was common place or not, my parents taught us not to settle. They always told us that if you work hard and you do good work you don't need to settle. This may likely stem from the opportunities our parents worked so hard to get us. I've been living in the states since 2010, since then I have moved three times in search of a new place we can call home. I never realized this was a behavior I carried out until I had moved for my third time. During this pursuit of a new place to call home we have met some amazing people and have had the opportunity to cultivate friendships in each of the state's we've lived in. Each time we left our old home we always get a little sad of the piece of our lives… a part of our story that we left behind.
